MISSION
The Sub-Programme on Social Science and Humanities in the transversal Joint Programme on Digitalisation for Energy aims to support the energy transition by integrating social sciences and humanities perspectives into the digital transformation of the energy ecosystem. Its core mission is to ensure that digitalisation in energy is inclusive, socially acceptable, human-centric, and aligned with broader societal values.
Objectives

- Promote Social Acceptability: Understand and enhance the public's acceptance of digital and technological innovations in energy, considering local and demographic differences.
- Human-Centric Digitalisation: Develop frameworks that place people at the center of digital energy solutions, empowering individuals and communities.
- Ensure FAIR Data Practices: Identify pathways to implement Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) data principles to support efficient and ethical digital energy systems
- Foster Behavioural Change: Explore how digital tools can encourage and sustain behavioural changes needed for a successful energy transition.
